CAMP FACILITIES: The campus features large modern dormitories, residence halls, dining hall and a snack bar. Services include health center, bookstore and laundry facilities.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our huge facility the "Digital Gym" boasts state of the art equipment, a production studio with a green screen, multiple classrooms with iMacs and projectors, and a 49-seat theatre.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Campers collaborate to create original movies using Mac programs like iMovie, GarageBand, and iStop Motion. Learn how to use a camera and basic filmmaking and lighting techniques. Each week on Friday, the family is invited to come for a screening of the campers videos!

Stage Kids WA develops and nurtures young people's potential through classes, workshops and performances. Our professional staff encourages creativity and delivers quality performing arts training for both the beginner and the experienced performer. Fun is had by all as we emphasize life skills such as responsibility, confidence, teamwork and creating new friendships.

Stage Kids CA was recently honored as "Best family-friendly musical" for their holiday production of "Bah Humbug".

Often, the success of a show is determined by the number of tickets sold or the overall presentation. To us, the process is just as important (if not MORE important!) than the performance, so we focus on challenging and growing the children. After all, that's what makes a better show...theater skills are really life skills!

Stage Kids WA is a program of the Campbell Children's Theater Foundation - tax exempt under IRS 501(c)(3)

CAMP FACILITIES: Jam Camp West is held at Redwood Glen Camp. The facility is a beautiful redwood site with multiple cabins, an outdoor amphitheater, beautiful swimming pool, large dining hall, and lots of open area to enjoy outdoor activities and classes under the trees. Jam Camp West provides a great alternative to traditional band and orchestra camps, where youth of ANY skill level can take part in a highly creative and quality artistic experience in a stunning redwood environment. In addition to our educational curriculum, Jam Camp West blends the wonders of the natural world into this inspiring and fun-packed music making experience. Our classroom is the majestic redwood forest, where talented professionals, and carefully chosen counselors and CIT’s serve as role models and mentors.

Campers create a personal schedule from over 25 noncompetitive workshops offered each day. Jam Camp offers classes in instrumental ensembles taught by ear, vocals, percussion, steel drum, beat box, turntables, dance, and body percussion. Music styles include jazz/funk, blues, hip-hop and gospel. Jam campers will also enjoy fun outdoor activities including swimming, volleyball, basketball, hiking and many more. In this magnificent setting, we hope to provide a truly inspirational experience while building self-reliance, teamwork, a sense of social responsibility, and community with a potentially life-changing opportunity to reconnect with the natural world.

CAMP FACILITIES: Cate School's grounds feature an athletic field, tennis courts, swimming pool, art studio and other recreational and program facilities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Haverim is now accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). This accreditation from the most well-respected national camp organization confirms what we have known and committed ourselves to for years - that our programs and activities meet high standards for quality and safety.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Leadership program.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
The cost of each camp session (2 weeks) is $500 for grades K-6. The cost for one week only is $300. We offer children attending all four weeks a $100 discount, reducing the total cost to $900, and a second child/sibling discount of $50 per session.

The tuition includes all camp field trips, a camp T-shirt and two snacks per day. There is an additional fee of $150 per two-week session for our 7th and 8th grade Habonim campers, to cover the cost of special activities (like surfing and scuba diving). The full tuition for each session must be paid before the first day of that session.

Michelle Danner is the founder and artistic director of The Edgemar Center for the Arts and is a renowned actor, director, and award-winning acting coach.

As an acting coach, Michelle has worked with A List talent privately and on set, including Salma Hayek, James Franco, Gerard Butler, Chris Rock, Seth MacFarlane, Penelope Cruz, Michael Pena, Isla Fisher, Common, and Zooey Deschanel.

This Summer Little Stars, 5 - 7 year olds, will do The Music Man Revue.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Campers arrive at 9 AM the younger group stays until 1 and the older group stays until 3. We spend our time singing, learning songs, learning dances, working on lines and blocking, working on acting, and creating a special show for the end of our Camp session. OTHER CAMP INFO: The Project Endeavor Experience takes students and faculty from around the globe and works with each participant to hone their skills and talents. Each participant will be assigned a team and each team will work with a team leader to design a project or perform a routine or create a masterpiece that will be shown to members of that given field at a final banquet. The team that is elected by members of that profession will be honored at the event and will be able to meet with the judges. As a part of the Project Endeavor experience, each team will base their project and the competition on behalf of a local charitable organization. The winning team will receive a donation on its behalf from Project Endeavor to the selected organization.

Kimble’s enthusiasm for music led to a professional career in music as a performing artist and music educator. Kimble has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Music Education from Jackson State University. He also has a Master of Education Degree in School Counseling and serves as a board member of the Mississippi Musicians’ Hall of Fame. He has served as the facilitator for classes that focused on learning problem solving skills as a tool for 6th graders which helps them see the value in goal setting, learning social skill sets and to focus on behavior management using music therapy, mindfulness, and relaxation methods

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Music Technology Mentors Innovative Music Technology Afterschool Enrichment Program, you’ll focus on the creative, often experimental, blending of music and technology. You’ll do much more than learn how to record music. You’ll also learn how to compose, synthesize, and perform music; score for film, games, and other multimedia; and develop software and multimedia. Topics of study include music theory and history, acoustics, recording technology, computer composition, electronic music synthesis, technology-based performance, 3-D sound and spatial audio, and music business and law.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Music Technology Mentors Innovative Music Technology Afterschool Enrichment Program is a mentorship and relationship structure that provides leadership, support, career guidance, role modeling, and communication that occurs in the mentoring relationship with students. Based in North Berkeley since 1999, our camps provide a rewarding, enriching, memorable summer experience for creative and creatively-curious children in grades 2 - 12. No experience is needed, though even young actors with well-honed skills enjoy spending their summers at our camp, often explaining ''it's the summer of a life-time.''

We offer four popular summer programs: KIDS ON STAGE, ON BROADWAY, TEENS ON STAGE and BACKSTAGE for children entering 2nd grade - just graduating 12th. All our programs include a strong conservatory focus and emphasize the integral value and importance of each child's contribution to our productions.

KIDS ON STAGE - For youth entering 2nd - 6th grade.
Each two week session of KOS produces a short play based on a popular children's book, and concludes with a final performance for friends and family. In addition to rehearsing a play, campers will sing, dance, act and learn about stage craft. Swimming, one afternoon a week.

CAMP LIFE Many children regard Stage Door Conservatory a home away from home because we focus on creating a sense of community for everyone who join us. During our first week together, as in all subsequently weeks, we will focus on developing a strong sense of esprit d-corps among our campers ... encouraging the creation of new bonds between the children who are becoming newly acquainted as members of our ensemble, as well as the renewal of old bond among children who have spent prior summers together as members of our camp. Both ON BROADWAY and TEENS ON STAGE include many alumni who participate in our program year after year. AN ENSEMBLE and CONSERVATORY PHILOSOPHY

Both ON BROADWAY and TEENS ON STAGE are ensemble-based programs. During our first weeks together, we will encourage our young actors to collaborate in the creative process together and to appreciate and support one another as persons and performers. We will emphasize the unique importance of each child who is a part of our production, whether they are performing in a lead role or as a member of our ensemble. Because we are a conservatory, in addition to rehearsing and performing in a high caliber production, children participate in every aspect of our production, from costuming, to set-design, to props development.

We're fitness out-of-the-box — where you DANCE, SWEAT, & LIVE far beyond your workout. CLASS - Rec Floor Gym 7-12yrs. Thurs 5:15-6:00 PM 7/16-8/6 - This class is for both beginners and advanced beginners. Students will be taught rolls, cartwheels, handstands, round-offs, and backbends as they progress in each skill.

CLASS - Rec Gymsters 3.5 - 7 yrs. Thurs. 4:30-5:15 pm - 7/16-8/6 - Participants begin to develop coordination and body awareness in this class. Emphasis is on learning in a fun and challenging environment. Balance beam and tumbling skills will be introduced.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our spectacular gymnastics and sports camp incorporates exercise and education into a fun-filled day program. ACTIVITIES/TRIPS: Gymnastics is the foundation of our 2015 fitness day camp activities. Ball sports, swimming, arts and crafts, drama, music and dance round out the curriculum. We are also known for our educational field trips: Kid Concepts, Whale Watching, Sky Zone, Aquarium of the Pacific, California Science Center and Adventureplex.

Dance, music, art and science activities are scheduled throughout the summer. Campers get the chance to try new activities, discover new talents and gain confidence in themselves. COMPETITIVE TRAINING: An innovative summer training program has been designed for our pre-competitive and competitive gymnasts. World-class coaches train boys and girls for all levels of competition. The Hayward La-Honda Music Camp is organized to challenge students in a variety of creative pursuits and is devoted to the development of musicianship for students grades 6-12. CAMP FACILITIES: Beautiful and recently renovated Black Box Theater. It has a stage and comfortable back stage. All of our props and backgrounds are designed and created by hand. Elevated seating that can fit up to 90 people. There is a ticket booth and a functioning restroom. Different types of lighting: black light, fluorescent, stage lighting, rope lighting, and a disco ball. A working sound board, music, and up-to-date stereo system. We utilize different media options as well.
A few buildings away is our main office, where rehearsals may sometimes be held. It has 3 spacious rehearsal rooms, each with a baby grand piano.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: A sleeping princess, a spellbound Prince and more fairies than you can shake a stick at are all part of this quirky adaptation of the popular tale. The evil Trollarina exacts her revenge on the royal family by sending the beautiful Princess Melisande into an everlasting sleep, but little does she realize more than one spell is about to be broken by the kiss of an enchanted Faun.

We do not skip out on costumes! Every participant will be outfitted in a role and age appropriate costumes for the performance. The actors and actress will also interact with carefully designed and created props.

Students will be learning stage position, projection of their voice, blocking, how to interpret a scrip, read music, sing in a group, and dancing. Since the plays we do are musicals, the actors and actresses will learn the basics of singing. It includes, reading music, matching pitch, group and possibly solo singing, tempo, and rhythms. Our choreographer will teach dance positions, dance moves, rhythm, counting, and tempo. Every lesson is created with the children's skill level and abilities in mind and we always encourage them and help them strive for their best.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: LVCC MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP was born of a passion for helping children discover confidence and learn life skills in the process of creating Musical Theatre. We know that many valuable life skills can be developed in the process of creating ART, especially when the creation process takes place with collaboration.

LVCCMTW is a place where the individual is nurtured, cared about and supported. We believe in positivity and unique expression. We have a "zero-tolerance" policy on negativity. This camp is a place where loving, encouraging, creativity takes place and character building elements are valued and taught. We believe that we are helping to "BUILD BETTER HUMANS THROUGH MUSICAL THEATRE" by focusing on collaboration, acceptance,creativity, respect, friendship, and individual expression. We build these elements into everything we do.

During each one-week session, 120 Campers are divided, by age, into seven groups: Preschool - High School.
Each group spends the week from 9-3 each day attending sessions in ACTING, DANCE, MUSIC, STAGECRAFT and THEATRE ARTS,creating a unique, original Musical Theatre Production for performance at the Friday Night Showcase.

Each age group is joined by trained, experienced, caring counselors who accompany them throughout their day. We believe in personal attention to each camper, therefore we keep our camper to counselor ratio very small. In our preschool 1/2 day program, our ratio is 3 campers to one counselor. This ratio increases only slightly with each age group. Our maximum ratio is in the 9th-10th grade Leadership Training program, where the ratio is only 6:1. We believe that adhering strictly to this ratio allows each camper maximum support for their individual creative expression and gives our staff an opportunity to relate to every camper individually.

Our caring instructors are skilled, educated, and experienced in their craft and have a passion for helping kids discover their skills, talents and self confidence in each of the respective elements of Musical Theatre creation.

Stagecraft: Campers will make (or assist in making) their own sets, props and costumes, using age-level based artistic expression, creative and technical skills.

Dance: Campers will be taught a dance and will learn dance terms and basic dance moves. They will learn or improve their ability to be comfortable with dance and with moving their bodies.

Acting: campers will learn and rehearse their scene for the showcase. As age/ability increases, campers also participate in writing their own lines, some of the scene, or the whole scene.

Music: campers learn the song for their performance. They will focus on basic musical terms and concepts. As age/ability increases, campers participate in solo and small group singing, understanding and performing harmony and lyric writing/music composition skills.

Theatre Arts: Campers gain understanding of the concepts and ideas needed to fully comprehend their scene/character for the performance showcase. As age/ability increases, campers participate in character development, exploration of personal strengths/goals, collaborative creation process.

Preschool/Kinder students attend a 1/2 day camp where some of these classes are combined. All other campers attend full day camp.

9th/10th grade campers also attend child development class and leadership training and function as an instructor assistant for some of the day as part of our Leadership Training Certification Program.

All of our staff are highly trained in positive interaction skills and have a passion for children and for the arts.

CAMP FACILITIES: Sugar Bowl's amenities include resort lodging, three catered meals daily, and full private access to the mountain resort for our camp. RVs can be accommodated with advance notice.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We feature staff from around the country, offering diverse traditional music instruction from beginning to advanced levels of playing.
