CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Youth Adventure Program (YAP) is a series of one week courses designed to encourage career exploration in the fields of interest to gifted and talented students. YAP is held on the College Station campus of Texas A&M University, and courses are taught by university professors and other professionals. During the late afternoon and evening hours, students will participate in social and recreation activities that may include a pool party, a night at the movies, an "Amazing Race" or Picture Scavenger Hunt team activity, and our heralded "Wacky Olympics" competition.

CAMP FACILITIES: We are a day camp that takes place in our very own dance studio.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: STAND Performing Arts Ministry is a non-profit 501(c)3 that is dedicated to encouraging kids in the gifts and talents God has given them. At STAND, we believe that we are Created to Create, therefore we empower kids in their identity by encouraging them to be all that they are created to be. Our Staff not only consists of amazing, dedicated, and relational teachers that love Christ and the kids, but they also excel in their professions through years of musical, theatre, or dance experience and education. Through this foundation, STAND Summer Camps are designed to provide a fun and safe place for kids to express themselves, and a supportive environment to learn from professionals while working toward an end product.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: SALT (Service and Leadership Training) campers will have the opportunity to serve the greater camp community while learning ways to engage others in team building initiatives, problem solving, communication and servant-hood. Putting leadership skills into actions, SALT campers will be partially responsible for the mini-campers and will help with the daily ministry operations of the camp. High ropes, including the zip-line and power pole as well as mountain biking, along with other traditional camp activities round out the week of fun and spiritual growth as a SALT participant.

Gilmont Interns participate in a two week camp experience. The first week, they participate with the SALT program and the second week they serve more in an assistant counselor role. If participant is 16 years old the first day of camp, they must have gone through the SALT program. Interns learn teaching techniques; go through discussions in delivery of low ropes course initiatives; help plan and deliver vesper services with guidance from the Spiritual Adviser; plan and teach with one other intern and program staff activities in the second week; take part in and understand all specialty camps; and, discover the fun and responsibilities of becoming a counselor.

Improv & Music Video Camp

Imagine being able to walk into any musical situation, pick up your instrument, and immediately jam along. That is the goal for Band Aid School of Music’s Summer Jam Improv Camp. The camp is open to all levels, styles and instruments, as we will take you from the origins of improvisation to applications for the modern musician. By the end of camp, you will have learned the scales, listening skills, and phrasing techniques that will enable you to jam with the best of them!

Arts facilities include the Helm Fine Arts Center featuring the Temple Family Theatre, a 410-seat performance venue and proscenium stage; a 100-seat recital hall; and an open-air portico overlooking Lake Austin. In addition to Helm, the campus boasts Hines Hall Black Box Theatre, two additional rehearsal/performance spaces, and the Clayton dance studio.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Family Camps are weekend long events that bring the whole family together. Adults will have the opportunity to hear a speaker on a specific topic, while the children will participate in camp recreation activities. There will also be time for whole family activities. Additionally families will be able to enjoy time around the campfire getting to know other families.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Charis Hills offers 8 one week session from June through August. These sessions can be added together for up to three weeks of summer camp fun. Charis Hills additionally holds family camp weekends each year in the fall and spring.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Charis Hills is a non-denominational independent Christian camp. All are welcome! We do teach basic Christian principles but do not enter into denominational differences. Many who attend are not "churched" for multiple reasons. The founders are both masters level teachers with experience dealing with many different disabilities, some, for more years than they care to admit. This camp was built and program designed specifically to serve this population. We try to meet the campers where they are in their journey. We are "drumming to the beat of a different marcher". CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Joshua’s Stage is the premiere enrichment program for individuals with a wide range of special needs, featuring after-school programs, camps, workshops, and more including activities in theater arts, arts and crafts, dance, music, photography, and create-a-story. Participants enrolled in programs at Joshua’s Stage have the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, increase their self-confidence, and build their social skills in a warm and welcoming environment. Typical developing individuals are encouraged to participate in our programs. All staff and volunteers pass a background check. Our ratios are one instructor for every three participants.

The Creative Outlet Method is the process used to enhance every participant’s unique abilities while providing them with the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, increase their self-confidence, and build their social skills.

The HIPPP Rules and the A+ Audience Type are positive behavior supports that our Founder and Executive Director, Joshua Levy, created to help the conductor of the activities manage the participants’ behaviors.

While many of the activities that Joshua’s Stage conducts are common to theater arts and improv enrichment programs, camps, and schools, embedding the Creative Outlet Method in each activity is the ultimate gateway for Joshua’s Stage to meet your child’s needs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Ages 4-8, Students will be split into skill-based groups. Dancers will learn the basics of ballet, study different ballet tales containing fairies, eat healthy snacks provided by Tapestry and experiment with creativity as they design a final day performance.Please send your student with a healthy lunch. Students should wear a leotard and tights or some sort of comfortable, easy to move in dance wear with ballet shoes. You must fill out a registration form on your first day of camp.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: A jam-packed four day weekend where students learn how to navigate the complex and highly competitive college audition/application process which includes:
● Master classes conducted by select college faculty members and guest artists.
● Mock dance calls and mock auditions featuring one-on-one feedback from college faculty
● Program overview presentations from each of the attending universities
● Meet & Greet networking sessions where students can get to know college faculty members
● Sessions for parents- TWU Professor Dr. Rebecca Fredrickson, shares nuts and bolts information on the audition/application process with students and parents from a parent perspective.
● Financial Planning- Doug Bryan who for the past ten years, has been showing families how to pay wholesale instead of retail for college…regardless of income.

Many of the faculty members have long and storied Broadway & professional performing, directing and educational careers. Students will work on their audition skills in master classes with amazing guest artists including:

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This year we will again bring guest faculty from around the country to work with dancers in the disciplines of Ballet, Modern Dance, Musical Theatre and Classical Jazz.

The workshop will be held July 1-26 and is available to dancers ages 8 and up.

Workshop times: 9:00 AM to 1:30* PM
*depending on class level

Each week dancers will study classical ballet and one other discipline.

We will accept a TOTAL of 40 dancers for the entire program so as not to over-crowd our classes. It is very important to me that the dancers receive as much attention as possible.

CAMP FACILITIES: Participate and hone your trumpet skills in workshops, clinics, master classes and ensemble playing. Students are treated at the end of each day with a recital by the faculty. An final trumpet extravaganza will end the camp with everyone performing.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Darryl Bayer, camp director is the Artistic Director of The Woodlands Symphony and principal trumpet of the Texas Brass. Our goal is to give trumpet players the experience needed to make wise choices whenever they pick up the horn to play.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our Music Director for the camp will be our Children's Choir Director at Trinity, Anne Marie Harmon. Anne Marie currently is music/fine arts teacher at Moore Elementary School in Arlington and is also an associate director of the Arlington Children's Chorus.
